MES software for the shop floor — and the decisions above it
ManufactINS gives factories in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the GCC the core of MES software: operators’ jobs and clock-in, live operations, downtime reports, NCRs and each order’s route stage by stage. Where you already run an MES, it works alongside it — connected in the pilot — and it adds the plant’s figures and decisions on top, in Arabic and English.
What the MES software side of ManufactINS does
- Each operator’s jobs and clockOn Today’s Work an operator clocks in, starts, pauses and completes each job and records the quantity. The server keeps the order of steps — no job runs off shift — and a shift left open is held for a supervisor’s correction instead of being made up.
- Live operations for supervisorsWho is on shift, which jobs run, what is late and what is blocked — with actions from the same screen, by tap or by a typed or spoken command in Egyptian Arabic or English.
- Downtime reported in a few tapsAn operator reports a stop with its reason; it lands in the maintenance inbox, where it is acknowledged, worked and resolved, with a work-order number if you use one.
- Quality at the stationRaise a non-conformance report with its severity, disposition, supplier or heat number and a photo. It closes only with a root cause and a corrective action.
- Random photo checks during the shiftWhen the owner turns them on, a worker on shift is asked at random times for a photo of the job in front of them; a missed check goes to the supervisor.
- Your order’s own route, stage by stageUpload an order’s production plan and shift reports and follow its work orders through their route — the eight-stage heavy-fabrication route included — with the inspections and NCRs on each.
- Connected in the pilotMachine and PLC data are connected in the pilot, through your gateway or historian. Your plant systems are connected during the pilot — MES (SAP DM, Siemens Opcenter, Tulip), historian and SCADA (OSIsoft PI, Ignition, OPC-UA), maintenance (SAP PM, IBM Maximo, Fiix), your ERP and spreadsheet exports.
Set up in your pilot
- Release and setup transactions on production orders are set up in the pilot.
- Your label printers and the codes already on your lots and orders are matched in the pilot; scanning with a phone camera or a handheld scanner, and printing Code 128 and QR labels, work from the first day.
In Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the GCC
Egypt
Plans follow the Egyptian working calendar — Friday rest, public holidays and lower output in Ramadan — and the command bar and Document Reader understand Egyptian Arabic, spoken and handwritten.
Saudi Arabia
Each plant keeps its own clock and weekend: a Riyadh plant runs on Riyadh time with a Friday–Saturday weekend, and its amounts can show in riyals.
UAE and the GCC
A plant can be set to Dubai time, and every screen works in Arabic and English; UAE-specific rules are set up in the pilot.
How to choose
- Full MES or an execution layer?Decide whether you need dispatching, recipe and routing enforcement and machine integration on day one, or the execution records most plants start with plus decisions on top.
- Will operators use it?Count the taps to clock in, start a job and report a stop on a phone, in the operator’s own language.
- Does it fit your calendar?Shifts, weekends, public holidays and Ramadan hours should be the plant’s own, not a default week.
- Which connections are live?Ask which of your systems are connected in the pilot — MES, historian, maintenance and ERP — and how each one’s data reaches the platform.
Frequently asked questions
What is MES software?
A manufacturing execution system records and directs the work on the shop floor: which order runs where, who works on it, what was produced, what stopped and what failed inspection. It sits between the ERP, which plans and accounts, and the machines.
Is ManufactINS an MES?
It covers the execution records most plants start with — jobs and clock-in, live operations, downtime, NCRs, photo checks and each order’s route — and adds the plant’s figures and decisions, with release and setup transactions set up in the pilot. Where a full MES already runs, ManufactINS works alongside it.
Which MES and ERP systems does it work with?
It works with the MES you run — SAP DM, Siemens Opcenter or Tulip — and with your ERP (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or Odoo); they are connected during the pilot. Spreadsheet exports work from day one through the Upload center.
Does it connect to our machines and PLCs?
Yes, in the pilot: machine and PLC data are connected through your gateway or historian — OPC-UA, Ignition or OSIsoft PI. Before that, output and downtime come from shift records, uploads and what operators report.
Does it work in Arabic?
Yes. Every screen, report and export works in Arabic, right to left, and in English. Operators can type or speak commands in Egyptian Arabic on Live Operations, and the Document Reader reads Arabic and English, printed or handwritten.
How much does it cost, and is there a free version?
Access starts with a guided demo: the Epsilon team shows ManufactINS on demonstration plants, then agrees a pilot on one plant or one line, with its scope, measures and price set up front. Requesting a demo never creates an account.
The modules that do it
- Today’s WorkEach operator’s jobs, clock and progress for today — operators work their own; managers and supervisors see the whole team, what is not in order, and each person’s screen.
- Live OperationsReal-time operator productivity, order progress, completion rates, delays, bottlenecks and KPIs by location.
- Production OrdersOrders through release, setup, run and completion, against BOM and routing.
- Fabrication OrdersEight-stage heavy-steel fabrication — an uploaded order’s own work orders through its route, stage by stage from its production plan and shift reports, with its inspections and NCRs; the demonstration plants show the shop-floor tablet board.
- Non-ConformanceNCRs from detection through containment, root cause and verified closure.
- Connections & inboxEmail, WhatsApp and chat, task tools, Google Drive and OneDrive, ERP and plant systems — messages with suggested replies, approved before they are sent.
